Howzit guys and girls,

Geez Slummies has been delivering surf lately!!! I hope you have all been getting as much surf as I have this last month!!

 Greg wins CWC Cape Town

Our own former WCT campaigner Greg Emslie earned himself a sweet R90 000 by winning the 4* O'Neill Cold Water Classic, in tricky 3' to 4' surf at Long Beach in Cape Town. Greg snuck a wave under Ozzie Dion Atkinson's priority in the dying seconds to earn the high scoring ride he needed to take the win. No stranger to a claim, Bigfoot mentioned he knocked out world number one Jordy Smith, the “worlds best big-wave rider” Chris Bertish and the “worlds best wildcard” Sean Holmes en route to the final. Devyn came equal 25th and earned a few dollars too. So far there they have run 3 of the 5 O'Neill CWC comps and two trophies have been won by Border surfers, after Royden won the CWC Scotland. Roy is leading the CWC series, which could earn him $50 000 if he stays on top!!

Border win SA Champs!!!!

Hi guys and girls,

Border dominate SA Champs!!
The Border team took home almost all the silverware at the 2010 SA Champs in fun two to four foot surf at StMikes in Southern KZN. Border won the masters cup, which was the team points for the divisions from 30 and above, the SA Cup for only the third time in history, which was for the open and ladies divisions, as well as the Presidents Cup, which was the total team points.
In addition to this we took home three individual trophies. Greg dominated the open division from start to finish and thouroughly deserved his second SA title. Devyn put in a brave effort to come back from a serious knee injury in his first heat, to come within a whisker of the title. KZN's Berick de Vries and Chad Du Toit took third and fourth.
Andre Herbie won his second SA title in the grandmasters, with Gareth taking his umpteenth second place. Locals Rob Perierra and Gary Maish filled the remaing spots.
